Major framework win for surfacing solutions to construct and maintain highways in scottish capital

Aggregate Industries has been selected as part of a multi-million framework to construct, repair and maintain Edinburgh’s roads.

The leading construction materials supplier, which has its headquarters at Coalville in Leicestershire, was successful in tendering on the City of Edinburgh Council’s Roads and Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework 2022-26.

The framework, which is valued at £101.76 million, is to provide major carriageway and footway maintenance and renewal to the city.

Aggregate Industries was successful on one lot where the estimated value of works which will be delivered is £4.8m per annum or £19.2m.

The services within this contract will include planing, road surfacing, minor civils, street lighting, pedestrian crossings, road markings and traffic management. 
 
Aggregate Industries is one of a number of contractors to be appointed to the framework.
