Trilogy RCC, located in Holytown, near Motherwell, Scotland plays a vital role in Aggregate Industries’ logistics and supply chain operations, coordinating the delivery of 1.45m tonnes of construction materials annually across the region. Its 150-strong team has demonstrated a collective desire to be a force for good in its local area, channelling its passion into making a tangible difference for those in need.

Their ethos of community-mindedness led Trilogy RCC to establish a partnership with St Andrew’s Hospice in 2020. Located in Lanarkshire, the hospice provides specialist palliative care for individuals living with life-limiting illnesses. From the outset, the Trilogy team has gone above and beyond to support the hospice, creating a bond that has touched the lives of both the charity and its supporters.

In the partnership’s earlier years, Trilogy RCC staff rallied together to organise fundraising initiatives such as clothing drives, regular donations to hospice shops and team participation in community events. To date, over 80 bags of clothing have been collected and donated through their on-site clothing bank initiative. The team’s enthusiasm extended to larger-scale events, including charity walks and family days, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for the hospice’s life-changing services.

This year, the Trilogy team was proud to support their Sales Manager, Duncan McCool, who quick-stepped out of his comfort zone to participate in a glittering two-night Strictly Come Dancing-style charity event. Pairing professional dancers with obliging community supporters,
‘Strictly St Andrew’s’ was a resounding success. Thanks to the encouragement of his family, friends and colleagues, Duncan raised an incredible £4,700 for the hospice, smashing his £3,500 target.

Seven Trilogy colleagues also participated in the hospice’s Midnight Walk, a challenging 13-mile nighttime trek through Motherwell’s landmarks. Here, a further £800 raised brought the team’s total for 2024 to £5,500.

Lorrett McCutcheon, Community and Events Fundraiser for St Andrew’s Hospice, shares: “On behalf of everyone at the hospice, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Aggregate Industries for its incredible support. The Trilogy team’s generosity enables us to create precious
moments and special memories for our patients and their families. Whether it’s a movie night in our inpatient unit, laughter in our outpatient department or the comfort of complementary therapies and befriending services in the community, contributions like this make every second
count. We are truly thankful for their kindness and continued fantastic support."

Yvonne Cauldwell, Regional Customer Centre Manager for Aggregate Industries, comments: “This partnership between Trilogy RCC and St Andrew’s Hospice reflects Aggregate Industries’ dedication to creating social value in the communities where we live, work and serve. We are
proud to spotlight Trilogy RCC’s achievements because they show the profound difference that a group of dedicated individuals can make when united by a shared commitment to their community. Their endeavours not only support the incredible services that St Andrew’s Hospice
provides, but also show how corporate entities can engage with their local communities in a meaningful and impactful way.”
