Aggregate Industries means business with new General Manager for Express Asphalt

Effective in his new role from 2^nd November, Gary succeeds Vicky Smith, who was recently named as the new Managing Director for Spadeoak – Aggregate Industries’ specialist contracting business. 

Gary will be responsible for growing the major construction supplier’s burgeoning Express Asphalt division, as well as spearheading the highest standard of product development and innovation.

Gary’s career began as a quarry-based Aggregates & Asphalt technician and he has worked his way through the business, gaining invaluable expertise and understanding of the industry. Joining Aggregate Industries in 2018 as an Area Manager for Midlands Ready-Mix, Gary boasts over 20 years of experience in the construction materials sector, having held a number of senior positions across aggregate, asphalt, cement and ready-mix concrete businesses.

In his current role as General Manager for Asphalt Midlands, a position he has held since 2018, Gary has consecutively improved business performance year on year. More recently, he provided excellent leadership and stability during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Gary will report directly into Chris Hudson, Managing Director of Asphalt, who will lead the Asphalt Midlands Management team, pending the appointment of a permanent replacement for Gary.
